Dr. Badger, The Grinding Doc, is an expert in grinding and abrasives. He works independently, helping companies around the world improve their grinding operations, troubleshoot grinding problems and set up results-oriented research programs.

A large part of Dr. Badger’s work involves education. Dr. Badger is well known for taking complex grinding concepts and presenting them in a practical, easy-to-understand, entertaining way that can be used immediately on the shop floor.

Dr. Badger has a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. from Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, all in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked independently as The Grinding Doc since 2004.

For over ten years, Dr. Badger’s three-day High Intensity Grinding Course has been enormously popular with engineers and machine operators.

Since 2000, Dr. Badger has been the author of the regular question/answer column Ask The Grinding Doc in Cutting Tool Engineering.
